The Sackville Community Garden is happy to announce that we now has a new interpretive sign at the garden. This will hopefully bring more passers-by to the garden!
The Sackville Community Garden is a grass-roots initiative which has supplied this New Brunswick community with a local, sustainable, pesticide- and herbicide-free food source since 2003. The garden is divided into private plots, tended and harvested by individuals, and a large community plot, tended by the Friends of the Garden.
The garden's harvest is available for purchase at the Sackville Farmers Market, Saturday mornings at the Bridge St. Cafe.
The Garden is located by the train tracks on Charles St. Please stop by for a visit!
To become a member of the Friends of the Garden, to request a plot for yourself or to contribute to the Garden Fund, contact us at sackvillecommunitygarden@gmail.com

Community Garden News
We now HAVE a cute little greenhouse at the garden to host all of our seedlings! Thanks Janine and Chris for their donation and thanks to Public Works (Brent in particular) for setting it up so nicely.
Public Works will be working on the drainage in the area surrounding the garden to prevent any flooding. Thanks Public Works!
The Sackville Garden Club has generously offered the Community Garden some of their money for a legacy project in the garden this summer. We are contemplating planting a fruit tree and/or an arbour for the entryway. We’ll keep you posted. Pretty exciting!
The Sackville Community Garden will be on of several cross-country Community Gardens featured in the next issue of Reader's Digest Best Health Magazine!
